Handling all of your company’s COBRA Administration, from mailing the Initial Notification to collecting the premiums, is part of our service to you. When a COBRA event occurs, all you do is notify us. We do the rest:

  • When we are notified of the termination of a covered participant, we immediately mail him/her a COBRA packet. This is customized for your company, and informs covered participants of choices including time frames for making decisions.

  • Process returned forms for those electing COBRA coverage, making sure relevant insurance carriers are notified.

  • Mail premium coupons to simplify participants remitting their payments.

  • Mail late payment notices when necessary.

  • Provide full member support through our call center. (See BeneSource® Hotline)

  • Manage annual open enrollment for COBRA participants.

  • Notify COBRA participants of premium rate and benefit changes.

  • Process multiple qualifying events, when occurring.

  • Terminate COBRA participants when no longer qualified.

  • Reconcile insurance carrier’s premium statements to reflect COBRA participants. (See Premium Billing and Reconciliation)

  • When you hire a new employee, we mail the required Initial Notification form. (See New Hire Support)

  • Mail HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) forms, when necessary.

  • Pay COBRA premium payment to the respective insurance carriers.
